Self-Paced Online Driver’s Ed – Minnesota State Approved

Right Way Driving School is also offering an online course that may be taken at your own pace as a self study/independent learning option. This course contains all the information that is required to know for, not only passing the Minnesota State Knowledge Exam, but also to become a knowledgeable, responsible, safe and educated driver.

The course includes information from the Minnesota State Driver’s Manual which can be found online by entering 2025 Minnesota Driver’s Manual. The course will also includes activities to be completed at your pace that are not to be turned in to us but checked over after they have been finished. This will simply give the student an opportunity to gauge how they are progressing. There will also be videos that are found in the course content that must be viewed.

At the end of each unit the students will complete a short quiz, 15 questions, that they must attain a score of 80% or 12 out of 15 or better. Upon successful completion the student may then advance to the next unit. A total of 30 hours of course work is required for this option as it is during an in-person course. The student will be required to complete the online course within 90 days from the time of registration.

When the student completes the course they will receive a certificate of completion. This certificate of completion allows the student to attain the blue card from our school which allows them to take the State knowledge test. The student may also present the certificate of completion to another Minnesota driver’s school to attain the blue card. Once the student successfully passes the knowledge test they then will be able to apply for their driver’s permit and begin the behind the wheel portion of the program.

We will be available to answer any questions that may arise during the time the coursework is being completed. Feel free to contact us at any time.
